Data Week 2022
May 24 - June 9
Data Week is the spring gathering of the European Big Data and Data-Driven AI research and innovation community. The event follows the tradition of the Big Data Value Summit, promoting opportunities, knowledge sharing and fostering Big Data and Data-Driven AI ecosystem development. In Data Week, the participants share knowledge and results, discuss topics of common interest, find synergies, build new collaborations and identify new challenges and recommendations.
DataPorts will organize the workshop titled “Joining research forces and create the future of ports and maritime based on data-driven services: Defining the Strategy”, which will take place on June 3rd. This workshop elaborates how data-driven services and applications can help stakeholders in the logistics, ports, and maritime sectors to improve their operations. It will also help identify and understand the challenges that must be addressed to facilitate adoption of these solutions. The workshop takes one new step on the topic of the one that was held in last year’s Data Week: “Unleashing the potential of ports and maritime logistics via data-driven solutions: Opportunities and Challenges” and will present the progress and achievement performed since the last year in DataPorts and ASSIST-IoT projects. In addition, two new projects, Cyrene and VesselAI, will be joining forces in an attempt to define the strategy for data-driven services in the seaports and maritime of the future.
