DataPorts participated in the International Shipping Exhibition that took place in Athens, Greece from June 6-10.

In the context of Posidonia, DataPorts organized a Workshop titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Seaports” which presented for the first time the proposed solutions for Data Governance, Processing Services, Analytics and AI, as well as two scenarios from the use cases of the project: the Verified Gross Mass (Valencia Port) and Container Pickup (Thessaloniki Port).

Also, a discussion panel was organized in which the opportunities opened through the digital transformation of the Ports were discussed, as well as the development possibilities both at national and European level.

Distinguished panel members Ms. Christina Gialama, Director of ICT Consulting, Solutions & Service Management of OTE Group, Messrs. Michalis Dritsas, Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Dr. Christos Dimas, responsible for the Research – Technology portfolio, Antonios Venieris, President of the International Maritime Union of Greece and Ioannis Fetanis, Commercial Director of the Thessaloniki Port Authority discussed about the opportunities and challenges towards the seaports transformation. The panel was coordinated by Ms. Irini Liadi, ICT Senior Sales Specialist of OTE Group.
